CLASSICA. The Alba Music Festival at Alba's International White Truffle Fair

Alba Music Festival presents the 9th edition of CLASSICA, the Sunday morning Concert Series, with the artistic direction of Giuseppe Nova and Jeff Silberschlag.
The concerts will take place from October 11th to November 29th at 11 am at the Church of San Giuseppe in Alba. Eight concerts for the eight Sundays of the International Alba White Truffle Fair: culture and enjoyment devoted to classical music lovers, in one of the most interesting and attractive period of the year.
Art and music cannot be missed in a prestigious and international event like the Truffle Fair. The CLASSICA schedule, that includes chamber ensembles and top level soloists, completes the rich calendar of the city activities, offering a further reason of attraction through the music and its universal language.
Among the artists of this edition of CLASSICA: the ARS Lituanica Trio, in a tribute to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Lithuanian state, a joint project with the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture; than the violinist Daniela Carabellese with Pietro Laera; the pianists Mario Panciroli and Costantino Catena with some masterpieces of the piano repertoire, from Modest Musorgskij to Schubert and Liszt; the Spanish virtuoso violinist Joaquin Palomares with Andrea Turini and the great Sonatas by Franck and Grieg; the Academia Montis Regalis in a very interesting program dedicated to the most important female roles at the French court of Louis XIV and XV; the Duo Maclé in a tribute to Gershwin and Piazzolla; the young talent Mario Paolo Monopoli, prized at the Tchaikovsky International Competition for young musicians, the most important competition in the world for young cellists, with Francesco Monopoli at the piano.
Live classical music is an essential social experience, even more in a particular year like 2020, and this concert series represents the projection of the community and its desire to restart. The response of the audience, which in past editions filled the hall every Sundays, is a clear prove of the value of CLASSICA, which has catalyzed the audience, critics and supporters, developing a project that combines deep contents and the pleasure of beaty, for the local community and the italian and internationa tourism.
